There are many great opportunities available to enrich your spirituality and express your love for Our Lord, Jesus Christ. Below is a detailed listing of beautiful ways to give your time and share your talents with the family at Plum Grove Baptist Church.
BEAUTIFICATION MINISTRY–
The Beautification Ministry will ensure the church reflects the warmth and beauty of God’s glory. The Beautification Ministry. This ministry ensure the sanctuary and all other facilities are attractive and appealing. Members of the Beautification Ministry may assist with special events upon request.
BEREAVEMENT MINISTRY–
The Beautification Ministry will ensure that the interior of the church displays the inviting beauty of each season. The Beautification Ministry will ensure the House of God is beautifully decorated with flowers, bows, greenery and other decorum as the seasons dictate.
CHRISTIAN EDUCATION–
The Christian Education Ministry is designed to educate, empower, edify and equip the people of God to Love Like Him, to Live Like Him and to Lead Like Him.The goal of this ministry is to provide engaging experiences that will foster spiritual growth and development and give individuals a foundational understanding of God’s Word. Plum Grove provides Christian education opportunities through: Weekly Sunday School Classes, Annual Vacation Bible School, Ministry Development Workshops, and Bible Studies.
THE CULINARY MINISTRY–
The Culinary Ministry serves to make each and every fellowship event a time of comfort and warmth by providing delicious meals for all to enjoy. The Culinary Ministry provides meals, dinner, and snacks for various church related events. This ministry also strives to provide excellent service to all that partake during our Christian Fellowship times.
EVANGELISM AND OUTREACH–
The Outreach & Evangelism Ministry is designed to extend itself, beyond the church walls, to impact the lives of people in our community. One of the ministry’s key focuses is to touch the lost and those in need through the love of Jesus Christ and His Word. Outreach and evangelism are at the heart of God and our goal is to model HIS heart in the community in which we live. Jesus said, `For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.’ (Matthew 25:35-36 NASB). It is through the obedience of God’s Word that we radically experience the essence of evangelism and discipleship, while consequently, fulfilling the Great Commission.
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” Matthew 28:19 Outreach & Evangelism events consist of: School Supply Drive, Christmas Drive, Creekwood Village and Sunday Blast in the Park for Tornado Victims.
MARRIAGE MINISTRY–
The Marriage Ministry will seek to keep the flames of matrimony burning through fellowship, education, and recreation. The Marriage Ministry will provide opportunities to couples to fellowship with each other through picnics, retreats, vacations, meals, and other wholesome experiences so that the marriage and family will be strengthened and maintain the excitement God intended us to have.
MULTI-MEDIA MINISTRY–
The Multi- Media ministry is responsible for setup, maintenance, coordination, and use of the church’s audio, visual, and lighting technology used during services and for other special on-and-off site events. The ministry’s mission is to glorify God by ensuring that His Word and our praise and song to Him is seen and heard clearly and without distraction or interference within our local church and throughout the world as it’s broadcasted or distributed on media.
SILVER WARRIORS–
Silver Warriors is a Senior Ministry ages 59 and up that focus on activities to keep our seniors as active as possible. We focus on meeting together regularly, traveling, dining, visiting and supporting the sick as well as many other activities. Our mission is to do whatever we can to keep our elderly active, mentally, and physically. In carrying out this mission, we enjoy doing the “will” of our Heavenly Father.
SUNDAY SCHOOL–
Sunday School provides a great teaching environment for children and adults to grow in the knowledge and application of God’s Word. It provides the opportunity to ask questions, no matter how basic, and to discuss and motivate individuals to personally apply God’s principles to their daily life. Students will enjoy great teaching, lively discussion and warm encouragement that will assist in their spiritual growth. Plum Grove provides enrichment classes that are created for our members and communities to grow in the knowledge of the Kingdom of God. Sunday School is the place to discover the principals and fundamentals to stay rooted and grounded in our Christian faith. Consider participating in one of the following classes:

Vacation Bible School (VBS) is one of Plum Grove’s biggest evangelistic outreach events. Our ministry shares the message of Jesus Christ to children and adults of all ages. VBS is a five day event, filled with the fun, activities, crafts, food and the love of Jesus Christ!
Workshops and Bible Studies are provided to equip, teach and encourage adults to serve their families, church, community, and the world according to the Word of God. The Christian Education Ministry provides workshops and bible studies that promotes Christian living, tackles current issues and encourages holistic ministry.
TODDLERS’ TIME–
Toddlers’ Time is offered for children 2-6 years of age. It is in session during the 10:00 morning service. Children experience a loving and nurturing Christian environment. Bible stories, songs, social and church etiquette, role playing etc. are all a part of the Toddler Times experience.
Toddlers are encouraged to reason and think independently as well as learn to work, play and get along together.
USHERS MINISTRY–
As Ushers, we have the awesome privilege of meeting, greeting and seating the body of Christ as they enter into worship. The mission of the Ushers’ Ministry is to ensure that the needs and comfort of all God’s people are met at Plum Grove Baptist Church by seeing that required worship service items are distributed to the congregation as needed.
The calling to be an usher is a calling of great respect and honor. An usher is an officer of the church that he or she serves. Ushers help to make the service a success by putting the congregation in the right frame of mind to receive the message.
Meeting Date & Time – 3rd Friday of each month – 5:30 p.m.
WORSHIP AND PRAISE–
The Praise and Worship Ministry endeavors to magnify God through the full worship experience. Our mission is to implement the core values of the church by valuing the “Word” of God, valuing Teamwork and valuing Excellence; while seeking God first, we commit to educate, train, and build ourselves and our communities through music, and dance.
